I get that the 3/4 view isn't for everyone. But I did make an appointment at not too distant future to test drive 5GT to see the luxurious interior and experience the ride. Again, I am not advertising the car, just share like an oppo would. I am genuinely intrigue on how mod could be good, since I have been on the stock camp for so long.

I work in an office complex down the street from a local BMW dealer. So I see the 5GT on a fairly regular basis.

I have issues with the designer, as it appears that he simply took an F10, and hooked an air compressor up to it, and inflated it to 120psi.

They aren't visually appealing to me. I'd rather have the saloon or the estate.

I am with you, yet if 5GT is proven to be bigger in capacity without losing (too much) sportiness, I can live with that (for my family). Would report back once I did my test drive.

Do you live in Europe? Oppos in North America don't have the luxury of 5 series estate.

I'm in the US, but that's one of the reasons I'm currently not that happy with BMW. I'd rather have the 5er estate over the 5GT. (They also got rid of the 6MT option on the 535i for the US market, and I was considering buying one new with München and Spartanburg delivery. That is no longer happening.)

So until they resolve that, if I want a 5er size wagon, I'm buying an E350 or Audi Allroad (depending on how crazy I feel on that day). I'd love an E63, but $102K? No. Just no.

I still think they should put the 2.1L turbodiesel in the E Estate.

I havent test drove E350, and have horror stories on 2000 Allroad. I unexpectedly found out how many of oppo were/are mad about 5er estate discontinoue throught out the 5GT post, I have phishing potential.
